International EMBA in Finance and Control
Embrace the Challenge of International Financial Leadership Roles
The International Executive MBA in Finance and Control program is tailored to finance professionals gifted with the talent and drive to become CFOs. The program targets professionals with an academic background and several years of experience in a finance function within multinational organizations. It integrates general management capabilities with the specific requirements of the business partner role, reporting role and fiduciary role of senior finance professionals.
The program hosts an internationally diverse group of participants from multinational corporations (MNCs) providing an inspiring community with the potential for a ‘deep dive’ in several areas relevant for future CFOs. In addition to the opportunity to exchange ideas and experiences in class, the participants also provide a lifelong network.
International EMBA in Finance and Control has been established to boost careers in finance. While many finance functions have become rather specialized, this program provides an opportunity to focus on the broad knowledge and skills needed to prepare for the role of CFO in one of the operating companies in an MNC.
The program holds the 'Triple Crown' of accreditations – the three most respected university accreditations, granted to only 0.5% of the world's business schools: AACSB, AMBA, and EQUIS.
Starting
Collaboration of Three Business Schools with a Strong Focus on Finance
The program is run by a partnership of three leading institutions: Aalto University Executive Education, NHH Norwegian School of Economics, and Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam School of Business Economics. All three institutions have an impressive track record of highly evaluated and accredited executive programs and have earned a reputation for delivering high quality finance professionals and CFOs in their respective countries. These institutions, together with internationally renowned faculty, give participants an opportunity to acquire and apply up-to-date knowledge in an MNC setting and to enhance their career towards an international CFO position.
The intensive program is offered in three locations – Amsterdam, Bergen, and Helsinki. All three cities have well-established flight connections to the rest of the world and are known both for their rich cultural heritage and their international orientation.
Financial Leadership Requires an International Perspective
Financial leaders must have a deep understanding of the complex business environment in which MNCs typically operate. International competition, business processes, markets, knowledge bases, performance standards, and resources determine the success of a business. Financial leadership requires a vision of how value creation can best be steered and controlled across the world to enhance competitiveness. The program is designed to cover both the relevant academic body of knowledge and practical experiences of MNCs and their financial leadership. International cases are studied and experienced, CFOs of MNCs are invited to discuss the international aspects of their strategic and operational challenges and participants and instructors from different nationalities share their knowledge and experience.
